Be-Loved
Be Loved is a faith-based ministry that builds holistic relationships to transform families, impact generations, and communities. No matter what we are doing, our goal is to see our teen/young moms in the Amarillo area move from surviving to thriving!
Loving & Equipping
Be-Loved exists for young moms wanting to move from dependence to independence. This happens through healthy relationships. We walk alongside each mom, encouraging them to pursue their God-given ability to provide a future for their family.
Our focus is long-term transformation as each mom does the work to change their circumstances and lift themselves and their families out of poverty - them being the sole provider for their children.
Be-Loved improves the quality of life in the teen/young mom community of Amarillo by:
- Offering life-skills and teaching the effects each decision makes for their future and that of their children.
- Working through curriculum designed specifically for women in their current situation.
- Connecting with local resources in the Amarillo area.
- Pursuing a trade or degree that will provide a livable income and an overall better quality of life for the mom and child(ren).
- Providing a store for moms to shop at with points earned through each meeting attended.
Our heart, passion, and goal is to see each mom see themselves the way that God sees them. The hope is, with the help of the Be-Loved team, they will begin to make healthy choices for themselves and their children in light of the truth.
Women who participate will receive:
- One on one mentorship
- Empowerment through curriculum
- Education on life skills, child development, and local resources
- Support pursuing a career and life goals
- Community
- Access to the Be-Loved Store
Whittney Grizzle
Whittney Grizzle is the Director of Be-Loved a program that connects teen mothers with professional Christian mentors in our area. Whittney was born and raised in Paris, TX and received her BA in Biblical Studies from Calvary Chapel Bible College in York, UK. Whittney is married to her husband Drew , and they have a son whom they absolutely adore.
Whittney loves her time with Jesus in the morning, paired with a hot cup of coffee. Any opportunity she has she’ll be spending time with her family and friends, learning, or getting a workout in. Mentorship has played a huge role in Whittney's faith journey, it was life changing for her. She loves to see personal growth in her own life, and the life of others. Her heart is to offer women the same hope she has been given, using the avenue of mentorship to do so.
