365Dad

365 Dad is a faith based, holistic mentoring program for dads 35 and younger. Our goal is to help dads understand who they are, what their values are, what issues they face, and how those issues can effect their fatherhood. Once dads have a grasp on these core issues, they can become the type of father they always wanted to be, and more importantly, the type of father their children need.

Not having a father around growing up, this class showed me the values, patience, and mindset needed to be a great father and husband. I am excited and confident for the future ahead for my 4 children and I.

I would really recommend this class to any and all men regardless of age or parental status, because it doesn't matter the age you are when you become a parent in your child(ren)'s life, parenting never stops.

From balancing the life of my family for myself to balancing the life of my family FOR my family. Attending these classes helped me pay more attention to detail about how and when to react positively and become more proactive in my kids daily lives.

Since joining 365 Dad, I have learned the difference between being a dad and being a father, from paying attention to giving attention.

I've always been around my children and done the best I could, but finally being able to see things through the lens of my children helped me realize somethings that I either didn't know about myself, or just helped me tweek a little bit to tailor my parenting style to them.

“I love that I can meet other teen moms, I’m not the only one whose been through it.”

Be-Loved

Mom

I joined Be-Loved because I needed to be around others going through what I was. The young women who were strangers eventually became family to me and my babies.

“I think it’s awesome because before this my 2-year-old wasn’t even talking. Until the teacher came out here. She started opening up so I love it! I learned that it’s okay to have fun and play while your child is learning and being a part of her learning.”

Cadesha

Parent

“I love it, it improved my child’s learning and her English language. She learned different kinds of shapes, more numbers, and how to read a book and figure out what’s going on. I learned how to become a teacher to my child.”

Marian

Parent

“The part of the program I like most is reading a book because my son can learn the word and know what the picture shows. Sometimes at night he would get the book and ask me to read with him. He would show me how it goes!”

Amen

Parent

“ParentChild+ helped me teach my child how to read and enjoy books. It helped us form a great bond. She learned colors, numbers, shapes, letters, how to follow instructions- so much! I learned different ways to teach her and communicate.”

Veronica

Parent

“My son is not so shy now. He like to see his teacher. He’s learning his colors and numbers. I think he will be ready for school and not afraid.”

Lu

Parent

“I get feedback from my mentor, and she’s not someone who’s only going to tell me what I want to hear.”-

Be-Loved

Mom

I love the community aspect of the program, for the moms and mentors.”

Be-Loved

Mentor

“I value the ability for the mentor to navigate her relationship with her mentee without a lot of pressure of a curriculum or lessons that have to be strictly followed. It’s so great that our relationship can grow and develop naturally and really be focused on the specific needs of the mom.”

Be-Loved

Mentor

“Through mentorship I get to pray and watch my mentee grow. It’s rewarding, like motherhood except these mommas are our peers. My mentee is more like a little sister."

The shoe closet has been such a great resource for our students wearing shoes that are worn out and usually too big or too small for their feet. If you could see the benefit of this resource then you could see smiles for miles when a student leaves my office with a new pair of great fitting shoes! They smile wider and stand taller!

Stephanie Donnell

Counselor/Bushland Schools

The shoe closet has been such a blessing to my students! One of my kindergarteners was so excited to get new shoes that as soon as he put them on he ran to his classroom and announced to his teacher, "I got new shoes!"

Ginger Cannon

Counselor - Bivins Elementary

I have watched students cry when receiving their shoes. Some of the statements I have heard over the years are, "I never had a new pair of shoes", ``I always wanted a pair of Nike shoes, this is so awesome", "Do I get to keep these". then cry or hug sometimes both. We can't express enough thanks to Mission Amarillo or Mr. Parsons for lighting up a student's face for their kindness.

John Civis

Assistant Principal - North Heights Alternative School

What a new pair of shoes does to the confidence of a child is truly immeasurable. I have multiple stories about the changes I have seen in the students who have gotten a new pair of shoes, when the ones on their feet were falling apart and their peers were making fun of them daily. That all stops once they have a new pair of shoes on their feet!

Rachel Langston

Counselor - Mesa Verde

The greatest joy for me comes from bringing the student to my office to switch out their shoes. Our littles get so excited! They feel so special when they see them!

Lita Barraza

Counselor Willow Vista Early Education

“My children learned reading, writing, drawing, and how to respect each other. I learned how to teach the children in the future.”
