Mission Amarillo is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Chick-fil-a Walk a Mile in My Shoes will be held Saturday, May 4, 9am at Thompson Park Area 17 (Thompson Park Lake) Last year, around 125 people participated and over $11,000 was raised for Mission Amarillo. This year, we are expecting more than twice the attendees. We will have inflatable games, Chick-fil-a will provide breakfast, the first 200 attendees will receive a t-shirt, and live music will be provided. The Chick-fil- a cows will start the walk around Thompson Park Lake. During the walk, participants will see signs with facts about the context of poverty in Amarillo.
